They will focus primarily on the shared goal of ending the COVID-19 pandemic
White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki announced on Saturday that President Joe Biden will be meeting with Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau this Tuesday. Their virtual meeting is expected to focus heavily on the shared interests as part of the NATO alliance between the U.S. and Canada. In addition, “the meeting will be an opportunity for the two leaders to review joint efforts in areas of mutual interest such as the COVID-19 response, climate change, and the economic ties that bind our countries, as well as the deep people-to-people bonds we share,” Secretary Psaki added.
Prime Minister Trudeau said ahead of the meeting, “Canada and the United States share one of the strongest and deepest friendships between any two countries in the world. It is built on common values, strong ties between our people, and a shared geography. I look forward to my meeting with President Biden, where we will work together to end the COVID-19 pandemic and support people in both our countries.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For God to be at work in the hearts and minds of the president and prime minister as they meet tomorrow.
- For President Biden to seek God’s guidance as he shapes the relationship with Canada.
- For God’s will to be accomplished through the U.S.-Canada meetings at the White House today.
